Engineer Bola Babarinde (BB – The Fixer) hails from Ibadan North East, L.G.A in Oyo State. He was born into the family of Mr. Emmanuel Oyelowo Babarinde and Mrs Alice Moradeke Babarinde on January 16, 1964.
Bola had his primary school at Aiyepe primary school at Matoko now domiciled in Osun State but had to relocate to Ibadan shortly after the death of his father.
In Ibadan, he lived with the family of his eldest half-brother, Late Mr. Olanrewaju Babarinde and attended evening lessons at Ile Dele in Oje Ibadan before moving to live with his uncle, Samuel Olalekan Fagbemiro (Former Commissioner for Finance in Oyo State) in Onike Yaba, Lagos in 1975.
Bola Babarinde went on to complete his primary school education at National primary school, Abule Ijesha, following which he attended St. Timothy’s college for two years before moving to Lagos Baptist Academy Obanikoro, Lagos and graduated with his school certificate in 1981.
He further went to the Federal school of Arts and science, Victoria Island, Lagos where he completed his A level program in 1983.
Following this, he gained admission into the prestigious University of Lagos from where he graduated with a B.Sc. in civil engineering in 1988. He had his National Youth Service Corps (N.Y.S.C) with Chevron Oil, Escravos tank farm, Delta state.
After, his N.Y.S.C programme, the young Bola taught briefly at Holy child college, Obalende as a science teacher before taking up a position at Eterna oil as a project Engineer.
In year 2000, Mr. Bola Babarinde moved to South Africa where as an innovative and enterprising individual, he set up a chain of successful businesses such as – a specialised construction company and a training and tourism institute. He also studied Project Management at University of South Africa.
A deeply passionate lover of Nigeria, Bola joined active politics in the year 2008 in South Africa as a member of the Action Congress (AC) which later transformed into the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).
In 2015, when the All Progressives Congress (APC) was formed, Bola and other progressive politicians put in an application for a South African Chapter of the APC, which was granted by the party’s headquarters in Abuja.
Bola Babarinde is the pioneer chairman of the APC, South Africa Chapter.
Bola Babarinde, a Philanthropist:
A firm believer in contributing meaningfully to the greater good of society, Bola joined the Rotary Club of Pretoria West and within a period of two (2) years due to his active participation and self-less service, he became the first Nigerian elected as the Club president in the year 2015.
During his tenure as president of the organisation, he led his team to provide various life changing assistance to the old people’s homes at St. John Catholic Mssion Home, Winterveldt, the motherless, homeless and the abused in and around Pretoria.
Bola Babarinde, The Optimist:
As a frequent visitor to several other countries, Bola believes that Nigeria can be even better than some of these countries given its abundant resources and hardworking human capital.
Over the years, he has played his part in trying to affect as many lives positively and contribute his quota to the development of Nigeria as an individual, however now he seeks your support to make an even greater positive impact as the Executive Governor of Oyo state in 2019.

Bola Babarinde is married to the love of his life, Mrs Abisola Babarinde nee Okuyemi, a business woman with interest in Fashion and event management. Their home is blessed with three lovely children.
